On Friday, August 11, Nigerian music icon David Adeleke, aka “Davido,” finally gave in to demand by releasing new music videos for his signee Logos Olori’s new single, “Jaye Lo.”
The new video comes weeks after Davido generated controversy from the country’s Muslim community, who criticized him about a religious scene in the video on numerous occasions.
It was so heated that Ali Nuhu, a well-known actor from Kannywood, joined the list of Muslims who criticized Davido for the contentious video.
The DMW chairman has just released a brand-new song and music video that excludes all references to religion.
Sharing a snippet of the new video on his social media timeline, Davido wrote in his caption
“The official visuals to @logosolori Jaye Lo single Out Now!!! 30BG let’s run it up!!! This video too swag abeg!! Olori Gbemidebe :fire::fire::fire:2.0 ACTIVATED”

Davido reacts after being called out for disrespecting Muslims
Recalled that, Davido trended for a few days because he posted a new music video online.
Bashir Ahmad, a former adviser to the president on new media, criticized the musician for the way the music video portrays Islam.
Bashir and numerous other Muslim social media influencers have urged Davido to remove the video because they believe it is an outright insult to their faith.
Finally breaking his quiet, the DMW head posted a witty comment on Twitter in response to the calling out.
