With his most recent accomplishment in the music industry, well-known Afrobeats artist David Adeleke, more commonly referred to as Davido, has once more won the admiration of many people.
According to an official announcement, the Mayor of Houston, Texas, recently states July 7 as “World Davido Day” in the city.
.On June 7th, 2023, Davido, currently on his Timeless tour in the United States, delivered an exceptional performance at the Toyota Center in Houston.
This recognition follows a similar honor bestowed upon fellow Afrobeats star Wizkid by the Governor of Minnesota, Mark Dayton, who declared October 6th, 2023, as “World Wizkid Day” in the city back in 2018.
Sylvester Turner, the 62nd mayor of Houston, Texas, granted this latest distinction to Davido in acknowledgment of his significant contributions to the music industry thus far.
