Habeeb Olalomi Oyegbile, popularly known as Portable, is a Nigerian street musician who has detailed how he met and fell in love with his first wife, Bewaji Ewatomi.
The controversial musician disclosed Bewaji had replaced his first wife, whom he claimed had betrayed him, on the well-known The Honest Bunch podcast.
He claims that she supported him while he hustled and even sent him money. She was originally his daughter, he continued, and he married her because she was the only person who, before he became renowned, had faith in him.
And according to his accounts, she did all that to secure her future with him. “That time wey dem talk say I dey mad, na only she talk say ‘no, he no mad,” he said.
The polygamist warned men against getting married to two or more women if they can’t support just one, but he wouldn’t say how many wives he had right now because, because of his Islamic background, he is permitted to have more than one wife.
Portable also beat his chest on his ability to take care of his women, thus shaping them into the ‘strong women’ people see them as.
He defended his polygamous way of life by comparing himself to a king and pointing out that one king has many wives. He also admitted that his wives and baby mamas are in competition with one another since Bewaji is his top choice.
Despite having multiple women, the artist has never shied away from expressing his love for his first one; just last month, on her birthday, he showered her with gifts.
The couple stole the stage in matching Ankara outfits that radiated their adoration and devotion for one another. The vibrant colours and intricate designs of the Ankara cloth added style to the occasion.
To further personalize the celebration, caps were added. These well-crafted, custom-created caps, which expressed Portable’s passionate emotions and dedication to his relationship, made the celebration feel more intimate.
As it stands the singer currently has four baby mamas and five children, the last child was born by Ashabi Simple.
