In 2015, the two had criticized one another on Twitter, a platform for microblogging.
One of the fans on Twitter asked when he and Wizkid would release a song together during a Twitter Q&A. This sparked the argument.
At the time, Skales had stated that WizKid was too busy for him.
Talking in a new meeting with Reverberation Room, Skales had uncovered that he had intended that as a joke yet that the vocalist had confused it.
He revealed that his friend had contacted him to inform him that WizKid was tweeting about his father’s slurs because of what he had said.
According to Skales, the person who replied to his account at the time wasn’t even him; rather, it was the woman he was dating at the time.
He also said that the whole thing had made him feel like an insult, but he blamed it on the possibility that WizKid was in a bad mood at the time.
