Biography of Phido, age, real name and net worth. Born Mubeh Philemon (born August 23, 2000) better known by stage name PHIDO is a fast-rising Cameroonian Musician, Poet and songwriter. He was conceived in 2000 in Belo Kom in the Northwest Region of the country to a single Mom.

His career started in 2018, seeing him do Rap battles around his secondary school earning him the title “Rap King”, from there he did a couple of Poetry performances around the Country which got him a lot of recognition, setting a stage for his musical career which later took full force at the later stage of 2020.

PHIDO CAREER

Phido ventured into music due to the love he had developed for music from birth (as said by his mom). Phido first hit the public back in his university when he did Rap battles with other Cameroonian Rappers like YOUNG HOLIDAY, then later with the release of his first commercial song titled By Grace, then later shocked Poetry lovers with the first ever Poetry EP for streaming the country had produced, titled BROKEN EPISTLES EP. And you can’t go away without noticing his latest release titled LEGEND

BY GRACE: Phido said “ I wrote this song in a taxi seating right next to my mom, the song was an embodiment of a whole lot of stories, Ranging from me being an only child to a single mom but growing up into a community where there are people who believe in my story, they pray for me , Stay with me.

My mom was like the light that made me see that, Immediately I sang the chorus to her, she was like ohhhh its great, will you do a recording for it ? that was reassuring so I took out my phone recorded the chorus, so I don’t forget and upon reaching home I and my producer (Jefff) recorded the song”.

BROKEN EPISTLES EP : Wanting to tell stories is always a plus but now how will you tell the stories ? Will you sing them out or slam them out ? slam them out in this case. Phido came out hard on this Ep making him the first Cameroonian Poet to put out a poetry Ep of this kind ever for streaming.

The stories try to shine a light on the social hurt and Moral injustice African teens are subjected to on a daily basis, This Ep is a must stream kind of Ep, cutting deep into your consciousness. With popular Pieces like: One More Day Poem This Ep caught the attention of a lot of people. The Ep was graced with Production from De Professor.

LEGEND: who won’t want to be a legend talk less of being a musical legend at a level of great names like Manu Dibango(of late), Richard Bona, Francis Nkoti (of late), Salatiel and Locko etc. Phido on this one comes in with stories of his musical journey, the ups and downs of starting up with music in an industry like this (Cameroon) but the journey has been started and he hopes his fears won’t kill him.

Anyway he won’t from his words, there is a determination that one can see from miles away, from how he wants to make his mom proud to how he wants to make his world know him.
