 “Our collaboration is free but Normally Sarkodie takes $34,000 for such, Sarkodie is my idol, he motivated me to start music” – Ko-c in an interview with Fidgil.

 

Power House Entertainment boss Ko-c was invited on Famous Tv show Inbox which is hosted by Cameroon Journalist and hip hop curator Fidjil.

He was asked how he feels when people compare him to Sarkodie and this is what he had to say. ” it’s normal to compare me to Sarkodie because he’s my idol. Sarkodie motivated me to get into music. Music wasn’t in my plans, I was a dancer et all.

Before I used to used to listen to Busta Rhymes, Eminem but it wasn’t just it and one of my friends Tokoti who played A Ghanian rappers song “Illuminati” by Sarkodie and I asked myself if an African can rap like this then I myself can do it.

 

From there, I started listening and Downloaded all Sarkodie’s songs I mean all his songs, all!. I time came whem I was speaking Ghanian language (Twi) . This is just to tell you how much I love Sarkodie and followed his every move”.

Sarkodie in my album is the biggest success for me because it’s a dream come true for me.”

Fidgil: How did you get Sarkodie on the album ?

” There’s a lady that I know in Nigeria and I knew that she has a connection with Sarkodie so I sent the song to her and she sent it to Sarkodie. Normally Sarkodie takes $34,000 for a collaboration approximately 18 million francs but the song didn’t make up to a week and I got a verse from Sarkodie for free.

‘La Galere’ was written in 2018 and I sent it to Sarkodie but he didn’t like it

Ko-c also talked about his album and told fans that he’s taking time because he doesn’t want to release any kind of album.
