Manchester United is interested in signing Bayern Munich striker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting this January, according to The Athletic.

The club is looking to buy a low-cost striker this January.

Choupo-Moting and Thomas Muller, who recently signed a contract extension with Bayern Munich, are at the top of Manchester United’s striking options.

Manchester United are once again looking for low-cost loan deals to bolster their frontline.

This is not the first time the club has made moves for a striker in the January transfer window.

Back in 2020, they signed Nigerian international Odion Ighalo on loan. They also did the same last season when they signed Wout Weghorst from Besiktas on a six-month loan.

Manchester United’s big-money striker, Rasmus Hojlund, has been finding life difficult in the Premier League. Despite scoring five goals in Manchester United’s UCL Group Stage campaign, the striker has managed only one goal in 15 Premier League appearances this season.
