Karl Toko Ekambi has joined Ligue 1 side Stade Rennes on a six months loan from Olympique Lyonnaise.

Stade Rennes has recently been hit by injury crisis and the club will be hoping on Karl Toko Ekambi in their quest for Champions league football.

The 30 year old joins his country man Christopher Wooh at the club. This move comes as a moral booster for him after Olympique Lyonnaise fans have been calling on the club to sell the player due to his poor form this season.

Toko Ekambi has featured 114 times for Lyon scoring 38 goals and recording 19 assists.

Ekambi won’t be making his debut for Stade Rennes tonight as he is absent for their clash against Lorient.
