Jude Bellingham surged with enthusiasm after making a triumphant return from injury, scoring a goal in Real Madrid’s commanding victory against Cadiz on Sunday evening.

Despite sitting out Madrid’s last two games and the recent international break due to a shoulder injury, Bellingham made a striking comeback, netting his 11th La Liga goal of the season as Los Blancossecured a 3-0 win against the Yellow Submarines.

Rodrygo, Bellingham inspire Madrid to victory

Initially, Cadiz took charge of the game, but the illustrious visitors weathered the storm.

In a display of form, Brazilian forward Rodrygo Goes dazzled, finding the top corner for the game’s opening goal.

Rodrygo then doubled the lead in the second half before Bellingham sealed the victory with a left-footed strike inside the box, per Eurosport.

Bellingham breaks record on injury return

With this goal, Bellingham tallied his 11th in La Liga and his 14th across all competitions, further solidifying his place in the annals of Los Blancos’ history for this remarkable season.

According to MadridXtra, the former Borussia Dortmund captain set a new record for scoring the most goals in a player’s first 15 official matches with Real Madrid.

He surpassed legendary figures like Cristiano Ronaldo, Alfredo Di Stéfano, and Pruden, all of whom had managed 13 goals in their initial 15 games for the White Angels.

How Bellingham reacted

Celebrating this incredible milestone, the 20-year-old took to social media to express his delight following his dream comeback from injury.

He wrote on X (formerly called Twitter): “Feels good to be back,” accompanied by a white love emoji and the ‘Hala Madrid’ chant.

Bellingham wins Golden Boy Award

Earlier, Kimbiblog Sports reported that Jude Bellingham won the 2023 Golden Boy award with 97% of the votes.

The award comes less than a month after the Real Madrid star won the 2023 Kopa Trophy at the 2023 Ballon d’Or awards gala.

The 20-year-old England international becomes just the third English player to win the award after Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney in 2004 and Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling in 2014.
