Meet Didier Lefa the best photographer at AFCON 2021 voted by fans photographer by fans after his spectacular shots. Didier Lefa is a 28th year old Cameroonian professional photographer who provided the best images for the 33rd Africa cup of nations ( TotalEnergies AFCON 2021) in Cameroon.

A short Biography of Didier Lefa “the viral photographer”

Didier Lefa composed photography his profession just 4 years ago, withstanding the demands of his dad who needed to veto his career choice. His mother, however, defended her son’s decision and such was his determination that by and by won his dad more than too. The family supported his passion and career orientation to the amount of that they financed a $2,000 professional camera.

It’s that extremely camera so that now generating memorable pictures of part of one of the most significant moments in his country’s fresh history—capturing the raw emotion, the life and beauty of a moment in time.

His passion for photography came at an beforetime age, he said, when he discovered photography through his aunt. “I‘ve forever liked to hold pictures”. He recalled that sooner or later i’ll get round to his aunt took him to an orphanage for a photo report.

“She gave me a Nikon reflex camera, it was my extremely 1st encounter with that sort of camera. She told me ‘just hold pictures’ which I did. This is how it all started.” this section is played a role

Didier Lefa is a wedding and event photographer started photography professionally 4 years ago ( 2017). Before getting selected by CAF as a photographer for AFCON 2021, Lefa went through hell but didn’t give up as the process was very complicated for him.

5 hours to the official start of AFCON 2021 he hadn’t received the accreditation still but his aunt who is a football photography kept encouraging him. They left for the Olembe Complex stadium and their way the AFCON fiesta had also started, Didier pulled out his Camera from his bag ( Without accreditation) at the entrance to the stadium and started shooting and at that time only Lefa and his aunt were there as photography.

Didier Lefa posted the images on twitter and they went viral, “I took pictures frantically. I captured images of football fans undergoing their COVID-19 tests and vaccination and when I posted them on twitter they went viral, it was amazing” Lefa said in an interview.

All these things happened when Lefa hadn’t still gotten his accreditation from CAF. His aunt called told him not to worry about the accreditation from CAF anymore but just follow her and that is how Lefa found himself in the stadium.

 

And the match finally ended without an accreditation for Lefa and at 11PM, he received a call which said “your accreditation is ready, come and collect it”

This is how Lefa found himself as a CAF photography and was voted best AFCON photographer by the world.
