“Samuel Eto’o is really poor and no longer the president of FECAFOOT ” – Serge Pensy on Vision 4 television

On an interview yesterday July 18th, 2022 the cameroonian repeatedly said that Samuel Eto’o is no longer the president of FECAFOOT and he has the documents.

Translating from French to English, here are his words

“Eto’o is already poor, Samuel Eto’o is no longer the president of FECAFOOT. Everything is clear. When I talk about Eto’o, I’m talking about the former president of the Fecafoot. It’s vacation time. (…) Eto’o got people blurred. When Eto’o was sentenced in Spain ( €1.8Million ) he didn’t pay.

That means he can’t afford to pay his debt. Eto’o ain’t got nothin’ on it.” – Serge Pensy

In June 2022, Samuel Eto’o was sentenced to 22 months suspended sentence by a Spanish court for Tax fraud .

Reason for this sentence being that the former Barcelona player did not declare his income from the transfer of image rights between Puma & Barcelona

The prosecution asked for Eto’o to be given 4 years,6 months but he was finally sentenced to 22 months suspended sentence due to the fact that he doesn’t have a criminal record.

“I admit the facts and I am going to pay what I’m due, but let it be known that I was a just a child then and that I always did what my former agent Jose Maria Mesalles, who I considered like a father, asked me to do at that time,” Eto’o told the court.

Given the fact that the jail term is below 2 years , Eto’o will instead pay a total of 1.8million £ in place of the 22 months jail term as sentences below 2 years are hardly served in Spain
