Ahmed Ololade, prevalently known as Asake, has ended his quietness in the wake of getting 8 selections in the as of late delivered rundown of chosen people for the 2023 Headies Awards.

The Headies, a prestigious Afrobeats award, announced the artists included in the forthcoming 16th edition on July 13, 2023. With eight nominations, Asake, the breakout artist of 2022, is scheduled to perform at the 20,000-seat O2 Arena in London.

Asake, a signee of YBNL, is nominated in the Next Rated category alongside Young John, Seyi Vibez, Victony, and Spyro. He is also nominated for Best Male Artiste, competing against Rema, Kizz Daniel, Ruger, Omah Lay, and Burna Boy.

Asake’s hit song, “Sungba Remix” featuring Burna Boy, earned him a nomination in the Song of the Year category alongside other top tracks. In the Album of the Year category, his album “Mr Money With The Vibe” is nominated alongside works by Burna Boy, Rema, Omah Lay, Victony, and Davido.

Asake’s collaboration with various artists led to his nomination in the Best Collaboration category, where he competes with other notable collaborations. He is also nominated for Best Street Hop Artiste, Headies Viewer Choice, Digital Artiste of the Year, showcasing the breadth of his talent and impact in the music industry.

Expressing his gratitude for the 8 nominations, Asake took to his verified Instagram page to thank the Headies Awards, acknowledging that the nominations mean a lot to him.
