As per Famous Senegalese-American Musician Aliaune Damala Badara Akon Thiam, prominently known as Akon, Nigerians are conceivably the “most brilliant individuals” on the planet.
The vocalist for “Oh Africa” made the assertion while participating in the Drink Champs podcast, which was co-hosted by DJ EFN and N.O.R.E.
He attested that Nigeria delivers a bigger number of tycoons than some other country on the planet.
Akon acknowledged that a few “bad apples” are damaging the country’s reputation, though.
He said, “This could be debatable, but the Nigerians are the smartest people on the planet. I promise you, there is nobody more smarter than a Nigerian. Of course, there is a few bad apples that came out. They [the bad apples] are extremely smart. But they put their intelligence all in wrong place.
“If they were to gear that towards something more positive or productive… Because the ones that did, there’s more billionaires being made in Nigeria than anywhere in the world.”
In other news, Akon have distanced himself from a tweet mad eon his account criticising Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla Motors, for the social media platform’s verification procedure.
The singer of “Lonely” claimed that the tweet in question was not his own in a statement that he posted earlier today on his Twitter account, alleging that his account had been hacked.
“My account was just hacked. This tweet didn’t come from me,” Akon wrote.
“Whomever hacked my account, please keep your personal opinions away from my profile respectfully.”
