Davido Responds Subsequent to Being Named For National Honours (See More)

David Adedeji Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, is a superstar in Nigerian afrobeat music. He has responded by expressing happiness at being included in a list of national honors.

Davido, Victor Osimhen, and Kunle Afolayan are among the entertainment industry stars up for national award consideration.

The Service of unique obligations and Intergovernmental Undertakings reported the honor in different units.

Official of the Request for the Niger (OON) was given to Davido.

The performer has had a significant impact on the Nigerian music scene and contributed to the globalization of Nigeria’s distinctive musical style.

The OON was likewise given to Afolayan, a capable movie producer whose works are perceived for having spearheaded the street for the new Nollywood.

The US streaming service Netflix and Afolayan agreed to a three-picture contract in March 2021, establishing a good example for other participants in Nigeria’s rapidly expanding film industry.

Charles Okpaleke, a filmmaker who received an OON, is another somebody from the entertainment business who has received an award.

Victor Osimhen, the Nigerian footballer whose goal earned Napoli its first Serie A title in 33 years, was awarded an MFR (Member of The Order of Federal Republic).

Terry Waya, a businessman and the father of reality TV star Kiddwaya, was also inducted into the OFR (Order of the Federal Republic) cadre.

All award winners were asked to provide the ministry with a soft copy of their commendation or CV by May 31.

They are also expected to be physically present on June 1, 2023, for the presentation of their medals and diplomas.

Taking to his official social media page, Davido tweeted; “David Adeleke OON 🇳🇬.”
