MLLE: Wizkid postpones music tour, announces new date

Nigerian music star, Ayo Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has announced the postponement of his More Love, Less Ego album tour.

He made the announcement through his Twitter page on Thursday, March 2nd, 2023 and said it was due to logistical challenges.

The North American music tour was scheduled to start March 3 in Houston, Texas, United States.

Wizkid said the new date for the concert which has been moved to Fall will be communicated to fans and those who have already bought tickets would still be allowed to use it.

His announcement comes amid controversy surrounding the results announced for the 2023 presidential election which was marred by voter suppression, violence and widespread allegation of rigging. Wiz wrote:

“Due to unforeseen logistical circumstances the Wizkid – More Love, Less Ego Tour has been postponed to Fall 2023.

All tickets purchased for the originally scheduled shows will be honored on the new dates at the respective venues. Stay tuned for more information. Love, Wiz.”

The Afrobeats giant, Wizkid announced that he will embark on a tour with his counterpart, Davido.

The Grammy winner took to his social media page to make the announcement as he promised to make it happen after More Love, Less Ego album tour.

Wizkid asked fans to save some money to buy the tickets because he does not want to hear stories about why they could not show up.

He shared a photo of himself and wrote;

“After MLLE tour! Davido and I going on tour! Save your coins!! I no wan hear pim!!”

Though he did not disclose a date, the news made fans very excited, and they could not contain their eagerness to see the heavyweights perform together after years.
