Nigerian music power couple Simi and Adekunle Gold recently sparked a humorous exchange on social media over the ‘H-factor’.
The H-factor is when certain words (typically h-free words, mostly words beginning with vowels) are pronounced as if they have ‘h’ in them and conversely (and conveniently) removing ‘h’ from words that begin with ‘h’.
The exchange began when Simi asked her followers what they would do if their partner accidentally let the ‘H-factor’ slip while recording a song.
“Hear me out…If your husband is recording and the h-factor kinna accidentally slips out, do you…leave him or stay for the child?” Simi wrote.
Adekunle Gold jokingly replied with the phrase “Your Papa”.
The humorous exchange between Simi and Adekunle Gold was well-received by their fans, who appreciate the couple’s sense of humour and their ability to joke around with each other.
The couple has a history of playfully teasing each other on social media and in public, which has only endeared them further to their fans.
