Kingsley Chinweike Okonkwo, better known as KCEE, a Nigerian singer, has finally responded to a 2021 video in which Bukola Elemide, also known as Asa, made fun of him.

Remember that Asa lost to KCee, a former member of the Hip Hop duo Kc Presh, in the popular “Star Quest,” a talent competition sponsored by the beverage company Star, in 2021.

The Songstress, in a viral interview with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, taunted Kcee, spoke about how much he loves to dwell on the fact that she lost a competition to him.

Fast forward to May 2023, Kcee in recent chat with Goldmyne TV, reacted to Asa’s mockery.

The ‘Limpopo’ crooner said he wished Asa understood his message which he said might have been misinterpreted by her.

Kcee said despite the fact that he loves Asa’s songs, he remains unperturbed by her opinion about him because “it adds nothing to my pocket”.

“I wish she heard what I said, maybe someone interpreted something else to her,” he said.

“If she heard me, she’ll understand she’s like an inspiration to a whole lot of people but trust me as you see me, I’m a freaking legend.

“I have a right to say whatever I want to say. I still love her songs. If she loves me or hates me, it adds nothing to my pocket.”
