Wizkid’s ‘Pith’ Wins R&B/Hip-Jump Melody Of The Year At The 2023 ASCAP Grants (See More)

Nigerian record creation team Legendury Beatz, containing Uzezi Oniko and Okiemute Oniko, were respected at the 2023 ASCAP Mood and Soul Music Grants for their commitment to the hit melody “Substance” by Wizkid including Tems. Top R&B, Hip-Hop, and Rap Song of the Year went to them. The American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers is in charge of putting on the ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards.

Dr. Luke was named Songwriter of the Year for his work on numerous hit songs with other artists, such as Latto’s “Big Energy,” Doja Cat’s “Need to Know,” and Nicki Minaj’s “Super Freaky Girl.”

For their work on songs like Jack Harlow’s “First Class” and Beyoncé’s “Break My Soul” and “Cuff It,” Warner Chappell Music won Publisher of the Year.

In addition, esteemed rapper and producer Dr. Dre was presented with the inaugural ASCAP Hip-Hop Icon Award, acknowledging his significant contributions to the hip-hop genre.
