2024 U-20 FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualifiers: Naomie Eto’o scores hat trick as Cameroon defeat Kenya 3-2, to qualify for the next qualifying round, 6-2 on aggregate

Naomie Eto’o scored a hat trick as Cameroon U-20 W defeated Kenya U-20 W 3-2, to qualify for the final phase of the 2024 U-20 FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualifiers.

Cameroon defeated Kenya in the first leg 3-0. They sail through to the next round with an aggregate score of 6-2.

Naomie Eto’o opened the scoring for the Lionesses 24 minutes into the first half. Elizabeth Mideva equalized for Kenya just one minute into the second half, before Naomie Eto’o converted from the spot 15 minutes later to put Cameroon back Infront. She then got her hat trick two minutes later with a superb strike from outside the box to put Cameroon 1-3 ahead. Elizabeth Mideva scored again for Kenya in the 77th minute to reduce the deficit for Kenya.

 

Naomie Eto’o is now the top scorer in the qualifying phase with 7 Goals in 4 matches. Her team mate Annie Félicia Enganemben, is second on the list with 5 Goals 4 Matches.

 

Cameroon will face either Egypt or Congo Brazzaville in the next final round.

 

The 2024 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup which will take place in Colombia, will run from August 31st to September 22nd
