AFCON 2021: Cameroon thrash Gambia 2-0 to qualify for the Semi Finals thanks to a Karl Toko Ekambi brace

Cameroon has defeated Gambia 2-0 to qualify for the Semi finals of AFCON 2021.

Cameroon are through to the Semi Finals of AFCON 2021 thanks to Karl Toko Ekambi brace. Cameroon will now play the winners of Morocco vs Egypt in the Semi Finals.

Cameroon opened the scoring just five minutes into the second half thanks to Toko Ekambi who was at the finishing end of a Fai Collins cross, placing it beautifully in top left corner with his head.

Toko Ekambi doubled the lead just seven minutes later with a tap in after a beautiful through ball from Martin Hongla, scoring his 5th goal of the tournament.

Adding to being the highest scoring team in the tournament, Cameroon also has the top two scorers in the tournament, Vincent Aboubakar(6) and Karl Toko Ekambi(5) and also the top two assist providers in the tournament Fai Collins(3) and Martin Honla(3).
