Andre Onana is now the most expensive Cameroonian footballer in history after his €52.50m transfer to Manchester United.

Andre Onana breaks Samuel Eto’o’s 19 Year old record as the most expensive Cameroonian footballer in history.

His €52.5m fee surpasses the €27m that was paid for Samuel Eto’o by Barcelona to Mallorca in 2004. A €27m fee was again paid for the four time African player of the year in 2011 by Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala to Inter Milan.

Andre Onana also becomes the most expensive African Goalkeeper in history, beating the €24m paid by Chelsea to Rennes for Mendy in 2020. Overall, he is the third most expensive Goalkeeper in football history.
