“Andre Onana is my son, he grew up in my Academy” Samuel Eto’o on Andre Onana during an interview with Amazon Prime Video

Samuel Eto’o was full of praises for Andre Onana during his interview with Amazon Prime Video.

He was present in the stands alongside some former legends of the club yesterday during Inter Milan’s 2-0 win over AC Milan in the Champions League Semi finals.

In attendance was also his former team mate Julio Ceasar who was part of the Inter Milan team that won the Champions League in 2009/2010 Season.

Interviewed by Amazon Prime Video, Samuel Eto’o was asked about Andre Onana and he replied with nothing but admiration for his Academy product

He is my son, raised in my academy. A good boy, I have so many emotions when I remember his debut. Modern goalkeepers like him and Julio Cesar are the ones who play very well with their feet… Special emotions, seeing my Inter win the Derby and to see Onana possibly playing in the Champions League final. I am happy as president of the Federation and as his father” said the Cameroon Football Federation president.

Andre Onana was part of the famous Samuel Eto’o Academy fundenspor before eventually moving to FC Barcelona’s La Masia as his career progressed.

The match saw Andre Onana register his 7th Clean sheet of the season making him the first ever Inter Milan Goalkeeper to achieve this feet. He also has the most saves(43) in the Champions League this season.
