Personal life

Eemel, born Abunaw Mary Tabot Tabi on February 26, 2003, hails from Mamfe, Manyu Division, Cameroon. She was raised in a music-loving Christian family alongside her four siblings. Her father, Mr. Abunaw Emmanuels, is a barrister and businessman, while her mother, Mrs. Nzalie Judith Abunaw, is a homemaker.

Eemel completed her primary and secondary education in her hometown before pursuing a degree in international relations and political science at the University of Buea in the South West Region.


Eemel’s academic journey began in Mamfe, where she completed her primary and secondary education. She then went on to pursue a degree in international relations and political science at the University of Buea. Her choice of study reflects her interest in global affairs and her desire to make a positive impact on the world.

Music career

Eemel’s musical journey began in August 2023. After working closely with producers like DME BEATs, she gained confidence and decided to pursue a career as an artist under G2G Entertainment. Starting in 2024, Eemel began recording at G2G Entertainment in Buea.

Her self-titled debut extended play, “Change,” was released on March 22, 2024. The hit single “change” reached number 17 on the Cameroon Top Triller 237 hits and spent two weeks at number four on Audiomack and Boomplay.

This success paved the way for her debut full-length jam, “Lost Feelings,” released in April 2024. The lead single from this project topped the Top 50 chart, marking a historic achievement as the first solo track by Eemel to reach this milestone.
