Cameroon thrash Malawi 4:0 to keep their World cup qualification hopes alive

Cameroon has defeated Malawi four goals to nil to keep their hopes of qualifying for next world cup in Qatar alive.


Cameroon saw the return of Goalkeeper Andre Onana who is just coming back from a nine months doping ban.
Cameroon opened the scoring mid way through the second half through Vincent Aboubakar who made no mistake from the spot after Malawian defender stopped his first time shot with the hand and got sent off. Moumi Ngamaleu set up
Zambo Anguissa from the corner who doubled the lead five minutes to half time with a well placed shot to the bottom corner.
Bassogog came in as second half substitute to score a brace making it 4:0 for Cameroon.
Cameroon now sit first in their Group 2 points above Ivory coast who have a game in hand against Mozambique later today.
Cameroon will welcome Ivory coast to the Japoma stadium on the 16th of November in a group decider, a match they must win inorder to qualify for the next stage.
