The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon will play the Chipolopolo of Zambia in a friendly match on January 9th.

This match will serve as the final preparatory match for both countries ahead of the 2023 AFCON. The match will take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where both teams will be camping ahead of the 2023 AFCON.

The Indomitable Lions have a pretty good record against Zambia. They haven’t lost to the Southern African nation since a 3-0 international friendly defeat in 1997. Cameroon has played Zambia 8 times since then, winning 5 matches and drawing 3. Overall, Cameroon and Zambia have faced each other 15 times in history. Cameroon has 7 wins while Zambia has only 3 wins, with the remaining 5 matches ending in a draw.

Cameroon last played Zambia in an international friendly in 2019, which ended in a 2-1 win in favor of Cameroon.
