Cameroonians cry as Libianca miss Out on 2023 Grammy Nominations (full nominees)

News

The recording academy just announced the 66th Grammy Awards nominations, marking a significant moment for the global music community.

Unfortunately, Cameroonian artists like Libianca, Stanley Enow, Ko-c, who submitted their exceptional works for consideration, did not secure nominations at the 66th Grammy awards

In the category for Best African Music Performance, the spotlight shines on Nigerian talents such as Burna Boy, Davido, Asake, Olamide, Ayra Starr and South Africa’s Tyla. Despite the absence of Cameroonian nominees, the nominations showcase the diverse musical landscape of the African continent.

Burna Boy further solidifies his global impact with a nomination in the Best Melodic Rap Performance for “Sittin on Top of the World,” featuring 21 Savage, emphasizing the continued recognition of African excellence on the international stage
