Date set for Cameroon cup finals where PWD of Bamenda will take on Astres of Douala

A new date has been fixed for the 2020-2021 Cameroon cup Finals where PWD of Bamenda will take on Astres of Douala.

It’s been more than eight months since the Semi Finals of the 2020-2021 Cameroon cup was played and football fans have been waiting for a date to be fixed for the finals.

PWD of Bamenda will be playing against Astres de Douala at the Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium in Yaoundé.

Astres de Douala defeated Coton Sport of Garoua 3-2 in the Semi Finals in Bertoua while PWD of Bamenda defeated Union de Douala 3-0 in Baffoussam to book their place in the finals.

The finals will be played on Sunday March 13, 2022 at the Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium and will be cheered by prime minister Joseph Dion Ngute instead of the head of states.

This information was made public in a Communiqué released by the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Pr. Narcisse MOUELLE KOMBI

The winner of the finals will represent Cameroon in the next CAF Confederations cup.

A date was also set for the resumption of top flight football in Cameroon which counts for the 2022-2023 season and is due to resume from Wednesday, 16th March 2022.
