“I support Cameroon because they are part of me” France Midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni during his press conference today.

French Midfielder Aurielien Tchouameni said he still supports Cameroon despite not representing them at international level.

The 22 year old midfielder made his debut for Les Bleus on Friday against Ivory Coast. He scored a late winner for France making 2-1.

Tchouameni was also contacted by the Cameroon federation according to several reports.

” I support them [ Cameroon ] because they are part of me. My parents are Cameroonians of origin. I had the opportunity to travel to Cameroon several times… I remember I was watching the game [ Cameroon vs Algeria ] with William Saliba [ French defender] who is also a Cameroonian of origin… We were disappointed with the result but we have second match and we will see what will happen ” said the 22 year old midfielder during a press conference.

The midfielder who plays for Monaco at Club level has attracted interest from several clubs across Europe including Spanish Giants Real Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester United.
