Cameroon defeated Mozambique 1:0 in matchday 4 of their 2022 FIFA World cup Qualifiers.
The players arrived Morocco thesame day the match was played and just barely 12 hours before kick off. The Indomitable Lions head coach Antonio Conceicao Oliveira was not happy about the situation and had this to say after the match
“ I’m happy with the result, but I’m sad about the circumstances of this match. We didn’t have a time to recuperate… we arrived at the hotel at 5:30 am to play at 2:00 pm. It’s just inhuman as a condition, especially for professional players, in addition to a World Cup qualification. So it’s a mixed feeling for me […] Whether it’s Ngadeu or Epassy, they gave the best of themselves by being decisive, but it’s not just them, it’s the collective who won. The players were able to resist these inhuman conditions, with physical and psychological fatigue. So I’m proud of the whole team, because my players have shown that even with difficulties, the Lions can win. ”
