According to Senegalese football legend El Hadji Diouf, Senegal is far better than Cameroon in football at the moment.

The former Liverpool player believes the defending African Champions will easily win the freindly match against Cameroon on October 16th.

Cameroon recently secured their qualification for the 2023 AFCON after their 3-0 win over Burundi to finish top of Group C, which consisted only of three teams.

Senegal on the other hand secured their qualification since from Group L unbeaten with 14 points.

 

Speaking to Senegalese media Seneposte, El Hadji Diouf had the following to say about the upcoming freindly match between Cameroon and Senegal.

“Regarding the match between Senegal and Cameroon, we must tell ourselves the truth that Senegal is far ahead of Cameroon. We’re talking about football.

With all due respect to my friend Rigobert Song but Senegal has a better team and we have to show it. Cameroon must show that Senegal is not far from them. I believe that this friendly match will be a good match because Senegal and Cameroon are 02 football nations.

I told you in Bafoussam we are going to gain momentum. We want to gain strength. We are going to have a team that will play game after game. We cannot say that we are going to play the final straight away without playing the semi-finals.

This Senegal team is homogeneous. It’s a team that exudes tranquility and I think that the Federation, the government and the supporters, everyone is ready to have a good African Cup.
