Afrobeats has been on the trends for some years now and many have generalized it as a Nigerian genre which was founded in UK.

 

This truth is when ever something blows up from a particular place, everyone gives that place the credit as the author that’s why many see Afrobeats to be a Nigerian music genre and Fela regarded as the author because he refined it and made his sound more unique and appealing.

 

Just in, we have a new genre called “AMAPIANO” founded by south Africans. The genre is yet to take it’s place in the music industry but so many Nigerian artist have jumped on it already and produced powerful records.

 

South Africans are yet to Produce a hit record from this genre and I’m afraid many might still see it as a Nigerian genre in future. Nigerians have been able to produce powerful records like “High way by Dj Kaywise, Bella Shmurda, Zinoleesky, Focalistic ft Davido Squander gang by Falz“.and Even Naira marley “coming” which are considered hit songs in Nigeria and as for South Africa we have had just a few songs like ” Dj_Obza SA – Mang’kiwe, SemiTee – labantwana…” which have not been able to penetrate the African music industry deep. Other African countries like Namibia, Tanzania…. Etc are jumping on the new genre.

Cameroon is yet to release and “AMAPIONO Record” but Ko-c assured his fans and music lovers he will be dropping the first “Camerooon AMAPIANO Record” which he played in a live session titled ” Family problem”

What if more of our artist jump on this genre and blend it with our original sound ? everyone sees it as the next big thing in the music industry.
