VAR controversy as Coton sport lost their first leg against JS Kabylie 1:2

Coton sport lost for the third time this season to JS Kabylie. This time it was 2:1.
Coton sport opened the scoring in the first half through Araina. JS Kabylie equalised in the added time of the second half through Kerroum.
Just past the hour mark JS Kabylie got a second goal after the Coton sport defended Matanda put the ball into his own net after a cross.
Coton sport later had a goal not given after a header from a Coton sport attacker crossed the line before a clearance from the JS Kabylie defender but wasn’t spotted by the refree.
There was a VAR check later on but the decision never went the Cotonites way as the refree asked them to continue play.
Coton sport will have to score atleast two unreplied goals inorder to have a chance of qualifying when the two sides meet again on the 27 of this month.
