John Mikel Obi, a former captain of the Super Eagles, has finally spoken up about his incident with 2Baba, a famed musician.
As you may recall, there was a rumor that popular musician 2Baba was passed over by Mikel Obi when they met at a nightclub while he was playing for top English team Chelsea FC.
At the time, the subject was one of the most talked-about things online, and many people believed that 2Baba’s hit song “Only Me” was a diss track directed at John Obi-Mikel.
However, Mikel Obi, a father of two who announced his retirement from professional football for the first time on September 27, 2022, speaks about his fight with 2Baba.
Sharing a video of himself vibing to a song via his verified Instagram page on July 31st, 2023, Mikel wrote;
“When the music hits hard and you can’t get enough 🤩 Have a good Sunday my people.”
Taking to the comment section, a curious fan identified as xfranky22 asked the ex-football star if he truly snubbed 2Baba at a club in London.
He wrote; “Did you truly snubbed 2face on a club in London back in 06 ?”
Responding, Mikel said he never snubbed 2face while adding that he is a big fan of the singer.
Mikel said; “no I never did. Am a big fan of his. So I wouldn’t do such a thing 😁 have a lovely day.”
