A total of 27 African footballers have won the UEFA Champions League/European Cup since the competition was created.

 

Samuel Eto’o tops the list as the African player who has won the competition the most times. He has three titles to his name which he won two with FC Barcelona, and one with Inter Milan. Geremi Njitap and Seydou Keïta are the only other African players who have won the competition more than once, with the Cameroonian and Malian winning the competition two times each.
