ZAMBO ANGUISSA
The 26 year old midfielder has been a gem and the heart of Napoli’s midfield in the Champions League this season. He’s formed a solid partnership with Lobotzka in the midfield which has given him more freedom to move forward up the field.

Anguissa is currently enjoying the form of his life with one goal and three assists in the Champions League this season in just four appearances. He was also named man of the match in Napoli’s 4-1 win over Liverpool. Anguissa didn’t feature for Napoli in their match against Rangers yesterday after just returning from an injury he go due to too much minutes played for Napoli this season.

Napoli currently sit top of their group with 15 points after winning all of their first five group matches so far and have qualified for the knock out stage.

ANDRE ONANA
A perfect example of a modern day Goalkeeper. Onana is not only known for saving shots but also his ability to distribute passes like midfielder. He’s arguably one of the best ball playing Goalkeepers in the world at the moment and his performance yesterday backs up that claim. He registered a passing accuracy of 94% and also completed 3/5 long balls as Inter Milan defeated Viktoria Plzen 4-0 to qualify for the next stage of this seasons Champions League alongside group leaders Bayern Munich.

Onana has kept 3 clean sheets with Inter Milan in the UCL this season in just 5 appearances. Only Club Brugge Goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has more clean sheets(4) than him in the UCL this season.

He has save per game ratio of 4.2 saves per game, and has saved 81% of the shots he’s faced in the competition this season.

JOEL MATIP

The Liverpool defender has suffered from playing time this season as he has only made 3 appearances for Liverpool in the UCL this season. In those 3 appearances, he’s started just 2 of them.

Even with less playing time, he’s still managed to make his mark for Liverpool in the competition. He scored a crucial late goal in Liverpool’s 2-1 victory over Ajax. He has a 2.7 tackles per game ratio in the competition this season which is quite impressive.

Matip watched his side secure their knock out stage qualification from the bench as Liverpool
defeated Ajax 3-0.

ERIC MAXIM CHOUPO-MOTING

Currently Cameroon’s most inform player at the moment or should I say Africa’s most inform player at the moment.

The striker has score 4 times and assisted 2 times in last 5 appearances for Bayern Munich in all competitions.

He’s form seems to have impressed head coach Julian Naggelsman. He’s started each of Bayern Munich’s last four matches for the first time since joining th club in 2020.

The 33 year old has 2 goals in 3 appearances for Bayern Munich in the Champions League this season. His only start in those 3 appearances was in their 3-0 victory over Barcelona yesterday which he scored Bayern Munich’s second goal.

Given his current form, it won’t make sense to rule out the possibility of Choupo Moting being an undisputed starter for Bayern Munich in the days ahead.
