Bryan Mbeumo scores his first international goal as Cameroon and Mexico draw 2-2 at the San Diego Snapdragon Stadium

Cameroon and Mexico have played out a 2-2 draw at the San Diego Snapdragon stadium in USA.

The Indomitable Lions, ranked 42nd in the FIFA rankings was ahead twice in the encounter, but couldn’t maintain their lead.

Bryan Mbeumo opened the scoring for Cameroon in the 37th minute, with an assist from Olivier Kemen. This was Mbeumo’s first goal since making his debut for the Indomitable Lions.

Israel Reyes equalized for Mexico in first-half added time, taking advantage of a defensive error by Cameroon.

Karl Toko Ekambi scored his 13th international goal to put Cameroon back in front, capitalizing on a blunder by Mexican goalkeeper Luis Malagon.

This is Cameroon’s first-ever draw against Mexico in three meetings between the teams. Although the match ended in a draw, it will play a significant role in boosting Cameroon’s points in the FIFA rankings.
