Choupo Moting has been in blistering form for Bayern Munich this season doing quite an incredible job in replacing the departed Robert Lewandoski who joined FC Barcelona last summer. The Cameroon international has 15 goals in his last 17 matches with Bayern Munich and 16 goals and 4 assists in all competitions. He joined the Bavarians in the summer of 2020 on a free transfer from PSG.
It’s not yet clear if the new deal will stop Bayern Munich from buying a new striker next summer as the club has been recently linked with strikers like Harry Kane, Dusan Vlahovic and Victor Osimhen.
The new contract makes Choupo Moting the highest paid Cameroon international abroad trippling the salary of his closest competitor Andre Onana who earns €3m/year at Inter Milan.
