Philippe Coutinho was full of praises for his former team mate Samuel Eto’o who both played together at Inter Milan.
The Brazilian had this to say about his former team mate
“Samuel Eto’o played like a South American or Brazilian. He plays alot. Very smart man. But I think he never got alot of attention looking at his individual accolades are not enough for a man of such talent, maybe in Africa he won alot because it’s his home. But am not satisfied with how he did not win atleast a UEFA best player that was even won by Virgil Van dijk who only won once compared to a man who won it three times.”
Through out his career, Eto’o won three UEFA champions league titles, two with FC Barcelona in the 2005/2006 and 2008/2009 season, One with Inter Milan in the 2009/2010 season becoming the first ever player to win back to back trebles with two different clubs.
However, the source of the interview is not quite clear but it dates back to April 2021 and has been on a couble of sites on the internet.
