Cameroon U-17 National team Player Angel Yondjo is inspired by Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema.

Angel Yondjo who is the Cameroonian public’s hope in the ongoing U-17 AFCON tournament hopes to play for Real Madrid one day.

Karim Benzema is one of the best players in the World and it’s no secret that a long list of youngsters idolize him.

Speaking to CAF Website, Cameroon teenage sensation Angel Yondjo talked about his admiration for Karim Benzema and his live long dream of playing for Real Madrid one day.

“I watch all his matches, I follow him on Instagram, I download his videos to learn about his movements, the state of mind he brings to the group, his fighting spirit, his leadership when he is on the field, and so on,”

“I really hope to play for this club (Real Madrid) one day because they are fabulous. Each season, they show that it is the best club in the world and that motivates me to pursue my dream of playing in this team one day,” said the young forward.

Angel Yondjo was named most valuable player in the U-17 AFCON qualifiers where he scored three goals and provided two assists.

Cameroon is drawn in Group C alongside former winners Mali and Burkina Faso. They open their campaign on Thursday against Mali. South Sudan was also part of the group but was later disqualified by CAF for age fraud.
