Senegal joins Cameroon and Morocco as the only African Nations to defeat Brazil in a Senior Men’s football match.

Senegal defeated Brazil 2-4 in an international friendly, with Sadio Mane scoring a brace

Ever since Brazil’s 1-0 defeat to Cameroon, they have lost two out of their last three matches against African opponents.

They lost 2-1 to Morocco in an international friendly shortly after the 2022 FIFA World Cup. They defeated Guinea 4-1 last week, before going on to loose against Africa’s number one ranked nation, Senegal today.

However, Cameroon remains the only African Nation to defeat Brazil twice, with one of the victories a 1-0 victory in the 2003 FIFA Confederations, and the other also a 1-0 victory in the 2022 FIFA World cup.

Senegal is the only African country to score Brazil four goals, and also the first country in over 11 years to come from behind and defeat Brazil.
