Andre Onana broke multiple records during Inter Milan’s 2-0 win over AC Milan.

Edin Dzeko and Henrik Mkhitaryan’s strikes helped Inter Milan secure a 2-0 win over city rivals AC Milan in the first leg of the 2022/2023 UEFA Champions League Semi Finals.

1. He became the first Inter Milan goalkeeper in history to record seven clean sheets in a single Champions League campaign.

2. The match also saw Andre Onana become the first African Goalkeeper in history to play three European competitions semi finals. He played the Semi finals of the Europa League with Ajax in 2017 and 2019 Champions League Semi Finals also with Ajax. However, he is yet win any European competition with the closest coming in 2017 when they lost the Europa League title to Manchester United in the finals.

3. Andre Onana became the African Goalkeeper with join most clean sheets in a single Champions League campaign. He equals Eduardo Mendy who registered 7 Clean sheets during Chelsea’s UCL winning campaign in 2020/2021 season.
