Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has expressed interest in providing financial assistance to a devoted fan who is determined to meet him.
In an effort to meet his favorite musician, OBO, the fan known on Twitter as @emmiwuks started a journey from Benue state to Lagos a few days ago.
However, the DMW chairman had initially instructed the young biker to return because he was not currently in his Lagos home.
A Twitter user, @ssbbmuzi had shared photos of the fan whom he said had already spent eight days on the road.
He wrote; “A young man called @emmiwuks embarked on a Benue to #Lagos on a bicycle to meet #Afrobeat Superstar @davido He is currently on Day 8 today.”
Davido quoted the tweet and wrote; “Turn around I’m not home.”
However, in a recent development, the overzealous fan insisted that he is not quitting the journey, rather he is changing destination to Ogun state.
“Am not going back Boss I most present my gift ?? to you @davido Benin state heading to Ogun any moment from now…” he wrote.
The ‘Unavailable’ crooner who subtly chided him for refusing to turn back then asked for his account details. He also told the fan to pause and resume the journey when he (Davido) returns.
