CAF President “Cameroon organized the most successful CAN tournament in history” Motsepe during an interview at the 44th CAF Ordinary General Assembly in Tanzania.

The CAF President Patrice Motsepe has reiterated that Cameroon organized the most successful CAN tournament  in history.

Cameroon hosted the 33rd edition of the AFCON back in January this year, a tournament that Senegal won for the first time in their history after defeating Egypt on penalties.

Hosts Cameroon finished 3rd after getting knocked out by Egypt in the Semi finals on Penalties before going on to defeat Burkina Faso on Penalties in the third place match.

The CAN recorded a lot of success as it was recorded as the most watch CAN tournament in history.

“In January and February of this year, we organized the most successful TotalEnergy Africa Cup of Nations (” CAN “) in the history of the CAF,” said the sports leader.
