The 2023 Cameroon Ballon d’Or Award ceremony has concluded at the Palais de Congrès in Yaoundé.

 

The award ceremony, which was broadcast live on Cameroon’s national television CRTV, lasted over two hours and had in attendance public figures like FECAFOOT President Samuel Eto’o, Francis Ngannou, First Lady Mme Chantal Biya, Indomitable Lionesses captain Aboudi Onguene, Roger Milla, Rigobert Song, Gaelle Enganamoiut, and many others.

 

Coton Sport de Garoua striker Emmanuel Mahop went home with the Men’s Ballon d’Or, ahead of Che Malone and Leonel Ateba.

Former Lekié FF player Gisele Ngah Manga, who now plays for FC Okzhetpes in Kazakhstan, won the Women’s Ballon d’Or ahead of Brenda Tabe and Naomie Eto’o.

Emmanuel Mahop also took home the Men’s top scorer award after scoring an incredible 14 goals in the MTN Elite One last season for Canon de Yaounde while Gisele Ngah Manga took home the Women’s top scorer award, after her impressive 19 Goals in the Guinness Super League last season
