Samuel Eto’o participated in a Game4Ukraine charity match organized by Ukrainian Legend Andrei Shevchenko.

The Charity match named “Game4Ukraine” was played yesterday, August 5th to raise money for the United24 initiative, a fundraiser to help in Ukraine’s rebuilding of facilities and infrastructure that suffered damage from the Russian invasion of Ukraine as well as the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian War.

The match feature some of the big names in football history like Samuel Eto’o, Clarence Seedorf, Julio Ceaser, Peter Cech, Gerard Pique and many more.

The match was contested by Team Shevchenko vs Team Zinchenko.

Samuel Eto’o came close to opening the scoring for Team Shevchenko 24 minutes into the first half, but his effort was saved by Jens Lehmann after a beautiful skill combined with a one-two passing with Joleon Lescott.

Mark Noble put Team Zinchenko ahead seven minutes before the end of first half from close range

Darijo Srna finished off a brilliant counter attack in the second half to put Team Zinchenko back ahead, before William Gallas leveled back the scoring with a tap in from close range.
