Roger Milla is undoubtedly one of the greatest African player of all time.

Today makes the African legend 70 years and he will be celebrating his birth day by organizing a gala match in Yaoundé that will be attended by many African football legends.

Roger Milla a player who achieved his peak performance at a very late age.
He is mostly recognized for scoring 4 goals in the 1990 World Cup at the age of 38, becoming the oldest player to score a World Cup goal.
Milla broke his own record four years later by scoring against Russia at the Age of 42 and making his iconic corner flag celebration.
In 2007, the Confederation of African Football named Milla the best African player of the previous 50 years.

Roger Milla made his international debut with Cameroon in 1973 against Zaire in a World Cup qualifier match.

In 1988, at the age of 36, Milla celebrated his retirement from international football with a jubilee in Cameroon. However, in 1990, he received a phone call from the President of Cameroon Paul Biya, who pleaded with him to come out of international retirement and rejoin the national team. He agreed, and went to Italy with the Indomitable Lions for the 1990 World Cup, where he would cause a sensation. Roger Milla went on to score 4 four goals in the 1990 World Cup, helping Cameroon reach the Quarter finals before being eliminated by England 3-2. He went on to play the 1994 FIFA World Cup where he scored one goal against Russia. They were eliminated in the group stage.

He spent most of his club carreer playing in the Cameroon and France clubs.

He made his debut for Eclair de Douala at the age of 15, in the Cameroonian second division. He later move to Leopard de Douala three years later before making his professional debut. Since then, he has played for Tonneres de Yaounde, Valenciennes(France), Monaco(France), Bastia(France), Sainte Etienne(France), Montpeiller(France), Saint-Pierroise(France), Pelita Jaya and Putra Samarinda.
