Born in 2004, Nina Soufiya Ngeuleu is one of the new faces in Gabriel Zabo 23 player shortlist looking to make their debut for Cameroon in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup intercontinental play offs.
Indomitable Lionesses head coach Gabriel Zabo made known the final list of 23 players that will represent Cameroon in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup intercontinental play offs.
The list had some new faces who are yet to make an appearance with Lionesses but the name that got the attention of many is 18 year old PSG forward Nina Soufiya Ngeuleu.
Born in 2004 in Yaoundé, Cameroon, Ngueleu is a member of the PSG U19 youth team. She joined PSG in 2020 at the age of 16 and has been slowly climbing the ranks with her possessing qualities such as speed and power.
She has score fifteen goals for PSGs youth team this season and has also made 3 appearances for the senior team.
Nina Soufiya Ngueleu was one of the 3 finalist for the title of Titi girl d’or 2022. It rewards the best young PSG player of the year and is voted by fellow team mates. Ngueleu lost to 18 year old PSG U19 goalkeeper Oceane Toussaint after getting only 30% of the votes compared to Toussaint’s 40%.
Nguele has been a long time admirer of the Cameroon women’s national team and has always stated her desire to represent the country at international level. Nguele even visited the Lionesses den in 2022 ahead of their preparation for the women’s CAN.
