VIDEO: Aboubakar gives brilliant response when asked by journalist if he thinks he can break Samuel Eto’o’s Cameroon National team record

News

Vincent Aboubakar was a guest on the show “Talent D’Afrique” on Canal+ Sport.

The 31-year-old finally made his comeback in Besiktas’ 2-1 win over Samsunspor after recovering from an injury that kept him out of action for one month.

As a guest on the “Talent D’Afrique” show on Canal+ Sport, Vincent Aboubakar was asked by Algerian journalist Nabil Djellit if he thinks he can break Samuel Eto’o’s record for the most goals for the Cameroon National team.

Nabil Djellit asked, “Neymar dropped Pelé, Kane dropped Rooney in selection, Giroud, Henry waiting for Mbappe. Do you think you can break Samuel Eto’o’s record in Cameroon? I looked up the stats. You have 41 goals in 99 appearances, and Samuel has 56 goals in 118. Is it in the back of your mind?”

Vincent Aboubakar replied, “I need to help Cameroon win more trophies. After the record, it’s the details. Even if I break his record, there will still be another person who will break my record. The most important thing is to help Cameroon win more trophies, and that’s what matters.”
